She was a one-man team at home -doing everything from babysitting to cooking to supervising the other helpers to grocery shopping and everything else that was needed to be done to run the house.
Thank you Nana for the guidance and the love that you have given all of us. For offering your life to look out for the family. For always seeing to it that everything that we needed, especially while we were young, was in place.
Thanks for making it possible for Mom and Dad to work as hard as they did. For making it possible for them to stay in the office to work for money to feed us, school us and provide for all our needs. If it were not for you, Mom will most likely be forced to stay at home to take care of us. If that happened, Mom and Dad will not be able to save and invest as much as they did to be able to give us a comfortable life until now.
I understand that you will never get to read this anymore since you are up there in a happier place. But I just want to thank you, for whatever it is worth. If it is worth anything at all. I just want the world to know, if the world cares at all, that for the first 14 years of my life, I had a Nana that cared for me and loved me. A Nana that looked out for me while my parents were working hard for the family.
I will see you again, Nana. After I make you proud of me. I know you want me to be Ms. Universe but looking at how things are with me now and how I am.. Well, that seems to be out of this world. But I know I will still make you proud. Wait and see ;)
Thank you, Nana. Today is for you :)
